Dare to speak English
Formerly, I only as a person with an ambiguous explained English to spoken. Then I encourage my self to improve English skill through taking advantage of activities in International organization but locally established in Malang city instead of taking course and another activities.
I’m so excited with article that I have read in Kompas* while I updating my day with news, browsing useful information to upload in my head. The article tell about English form various types likely intonation (Singlish, English or Inglish), grammar, and step by step in understanding English.
It’s related with what I have ever seen and felt on my life. Dare to speak English even I stand on a limited vocational. Based on articles, My English level is on third or lower than it maybe, I still try to upgrade to next level but its need a long time for me.
I learn English from high school until University (In formal education not in courses) but I felt “empty” maybe I Imagine the level like a bottle with a water, its only fill a half or less water. Sometime I shy to express my self with English skill I have but my eagerness push me to learn and learn through many things such watching a movie, listening music and also directly speaking with foreigners.
There are no way to improve your English except practicing everytime you have a chance. Grammatical will follow the practical that you have learn. It’s work ! My friends experience and me has proved that the best things to improve your English skill is practicing by yourself.
I have a tips for you how to speak English,
1. Don’t underestimate your self that you are a newbie.
Its limit your self into a weakness. So put your self with a imagination that you and other are similar.
2. Brave.
Practicing your English not just need a vocabularies but the braveness to dare our self speak with other person (the best if you try to speak with foreigner)
3. Listening music and watching movie.
Those are the best thing to catch vocabularies and how to use them. Please put your running text in dual language so you know when and what vocabularies is useful to be.
So, do you really speak English ?
*Thanks to Harry Lukman for the article. Keep writing !

Welcome back!

Back in my teenager (high school) days when I purposely start conversation in english with my best mate… they mocking me with the word “ga pantes loe inggris2-an, makan masih nasi juga.”
Back then, the world (of information’s) is not so much open like we have today. TV programs dubbed, radio just playing another local country music, and… no internet
I just want to say… keep your (good) language in form… you will feel the benefit in in the future.
